Trace Semantics

Trace Semantics is a formal method in programming language theory that characterizes the behavior of a program by defining its meaning as the set of all possible sequences of observable actions, or traces, it can produce during execution, thereby distinguishing it from other denotational or operational approaches by focusing on external behavior over internal state transitions.
