Torsional Irregularity

Torsional Irregularity is a structural irregularity characterized by an asymmetry in the lateral stiffness or mass distribution of a building, leading to a significant difference in the center of rigidity and center of mass, which induces unintended rotational components in the seismic response of reinforced concrete lateral force-resisting systems.
