Topic Ontologies

Topic Ontology is a type of domain ontology that formally represents the conceptual structure of a specific subject area by organizing paper-level scholarly contributions—such as methods, models, frameworks, theories, constructs, datasets, tasks, or metrics—into a hierarchical and semantic classification system, distinguishing it from general-purpose or application-specific ontologies through its focus on academic knowledge organization at the level of research artifacts.
