Toothbrush Abrasivity is a quantitative metric that characterizes the inherent potential of a toothbrush’s bristle design and material properties to induce mechanical wear on dental hard tissues during brushing, differentiating it from other oral hygiene factors by specifically measuring the abrasive effect attributable to the physical interaction between the toothbrush and tooth surface.
