Tonic Sol-fa Notation
Tonic Sol-Fa Notation is a system of musical notation that uses syllables derived from the solmization of scale degrees—specifically tonic, supertonic, mediant, subdominant, dominant, submediant, and leading tone—to represent pitch relationships relative to a key, distinguishing it from staff-based or letter-based notation systems by emphasizing modal function and sight-singing pedagogy.
