Tire-pavement Interface Friction

Tire-Pavement Interface Friction is the resistive force generated at the contact zone between a tire and a pavement surface, arising from adhesion, deformation, and wear mechanisms that collectively oppose relative motion and are quantitatively determined by the physicochemical and mechanical interactions specific to the tire-pavement boundary.
