Three-dimensional Block Modeling

Three-Dimensional Block Modeling is a computational geostatistical method that discretizes a geological domain into a regular or irregular grid of three-dimensional volumetric elements to represent spatial variability in subsurface properties, distinguished from other modeling approaches by its explicit representation of spatial continuity and attribute distribution in three dimensions.
