Third-party Duress

Third-Party Duress is a form of legally cognizable duress in which a party’s apparent consent to a contract or other juridical act is procured by illegitimate pressure or threats exerted by a non-contracting third person, thereby rendering that consent defective and the transaction voidable (typically where the benefiting party knew or ought to have known of the coercion).
