Thin Plate Modeling

Thin Plate Modeling is a computational modeling approach in structural mechanics that belongs to the class of plate theories, specifically distinguished by its assumption of negligible transverse shear deformation and reliance on the Kirchhoff–Love kinematic hypotheses to describe the behavior of plates whose thickness is small relative to their in-plane dimensions.
