Thickener Loading Rate

Thickener Loading Rate is a hydraulic and solids loading metric, within the category of sludge thickening operational parameters, defined as the volumetric flow rate of influent wastewater or sludge per unit surface area of the thickener, typically expressed in cubic meters per square meter per day, which distinguishes it from alternative loading measures by quantifying the intensity of applied flow relative to the settling surface area.
