Thermodynamic Optimization

Thermodynamic Optimization is a branch of applied and computational thermodynamics that formulates and solves optimization problems in which system designs, processes, or operating conditions are selected to extremize (e.g., maximize efficiency or minimize entropy generation or exergy destruction) subject to constraints imposed by the laws and constitutive relations of thermodynamics.
