Thermal Strain Development

Thermal Strain Development is a mechanical phenomenon in which differential thermal expansion and contraction during solidification induce localized plastic deformation in the mushy zone of a welded joint, distinguishing it from other solidification-related effects by its direct dependence on constrained cooling rates and material phase transformation behavior.
