Thermal Effectiveness

Thermal Effectiveness is a dimensionless performance metric in heat exchanger analysis that quantifies the ratio of the actual heat transfer rate to the maximum possible heat transfer rate achievable under ideal conditions, thereby distinguishing it from other thermal performance indicators by its reliance on the thermodynamic limits of heat exchange.
