Thermal Bridging

Thermal Bridging is a conductive heat-transfer phenomenon in building envelopes in which a locally more thermally conductive material or assembly creates a path of least resistance that bypasses or disrupts the continuity of insulation, thereby increasing heat flow between conditioned and unconditioned environments and reducing the overall thermal resistance of the building fabric.
