Theme Identification
Theme Identification is the cognitive and analytical process within discourse and narrative comprehension whereby readers or listeners discern the underlying central idea or unifying message that transcends the surface-level content of a text, distinguishing it from related processes such as plot reconstruction or fact extraction by focusing on abstract, often implicit, conceptual meanings conveyed across the discourse.
