Theater Adaptation
Theater Adaptation is an academic concept in German Theater Studies referring to a reconstructive interpretive practice within the broader category of theatrical production, distinguished by its deliberate transformation of a pre-existing literary, historical, or cultural source into a staged performance that re contextualizes, re-semanticizes, or re-embodies the original through specific aesthetic, ideological, or dramaturgical interventions.
