Tfiis-mediated Transcript Cleavage

TFIIS-Mediated Transcript Cleavage is a molecular mechanism in transcription elongation whereby the transcription factor TFIIS stimulates the intrinsic nuclease activity of RNA polymerase II to cleave the 3′-end of the nascent RNA transcript, facilitating transcriptional restart from the resulting new RNA terminus following polymerase backtracking.
