Territorial Partition is a state-level political settlement in interstate conflict resolution whereby the contested geographic area is divided among belligerent parties as a formal, negotiated division of sovereignty, distinguishing it from other war termination methods through its reliance on spatial reallocation of territory as a primary mechanism for achieving durable cessation of hostilities.
