Terahertz Plasmonics

Terahertz Plasmonics is a subfield of plasmonics that focuses on the generation, manipulation, and detection of surface plasmon polaritons in the terahertz frequency range, distinguishing itself by leveraging collective electron oscillations at interfaces to confine and guide electromagnetic waves at subwavelength scales within the 0.1–10 THz regime.
