Tempo-based Materials

TEMPO-Based Materials is a class of redox-active materials that incorporate the stable nitroxide radical 2,2,6,6-tetramethylpiperidine-1-oxyl (TEMPO) or its derivatives as the redox-active functional group, distinguishing it from other redox-active systems by its reversible one-electron oxidation-reduction mechanism and high stability under oxidative conditions.
