Teleconnection Patterns

Teleconnection Patterns is a climatological construct that identifies statistically significant, persistent large-scale spatial correlations in atmospheric variables—such as pressure, temperature, or geopotential height—across geographically remote regions, thereby revealing how climate anomalies in one location systematically influence or co-vary with anomalies in another through dynamic mechanisms embedded in the general circulation of the atmosphere.
