Tall-cache Assumption
The Tall-Cache Assumption is a theoretical premise in external memory algorithms stating that the cache size is sufficiently large relative to the block size to hold a number of blocks proportional to the square of the block size, thereby enabling asymptotic efficiency in cache-oblivious algorithm analysis.
