Synchronous Stream Ciphers

Synchronous Stream Cipher is a type of stream cipher in which the keystream is generated independently of the plaintext and ciphertext, typically by a deterministic algorithm driven solely by a secret key and an initial value, thereby requiring sender and receiver to remain perfectly synchronized in order to ensure correct encryption and decryption.
