Surface Spin Reorientation

Surface Spin Reorientation is a magnetic phenomenon in which the orientation of surface spins undergoes a temperature- or field-induced transition from an in-plane to an out-of-plane configuration, or vice versa, due to competing anisotropy interactions at the surface of a magnetic material.
