Surface Glazing is a ceramic surface treatment technique that involves the application of a vitreous, ceramic-based coating to the surface of a ceramic body, which upon firing forms a smooth, non-porous, and often decorative or protective layer distinct from other surface modifications by its glassy phase formation and integral bonding to the substrate.
