Subtropical Subsidence

Subtropical Subsidence is a large-scale atmospheric descent of dry, stable air within the subtropical regions, occurring at the poleward limbs of the Hadley Cells, that suppresses cloud formation and precipitation, thereby contributing to the maintenance of Earth's subtropical high-pressure zones and arid climatic zones.
