Subsidized Loans

Subsidized Loans is a type of federal student loan in which the government assumes responsibility for paying the accrued interest while the borrower is enrolled in school at least half-time, during grace periods, and during periods of authorized deferment, thereby reducing the overall cost of borrowing compared to unsubsidized loan instruments.
