Subject-object Relation
Subject-Object Relation is a foundational philosophical construct in German Idealism that designates the dynamic of interdependence and opposition between the conscious subject as the agent of cognition and the object as the locus of reality, wherein the subject constitutes the object through acts of consciousness while simultaneously being determined by it, thus forming the dialectical basis for epistemology and metaphysics in the idealist tradition.
