About

Structural integrity is the capacity of a structure or component to withstand applied loads and environmental conditions without experiencing failure, fracture, or unacceptable degradation that compromises its intended function or safety. As an academic concept and engineering discipline, it investigates the complex interplay of material properties, geometry, loading conditions, and environmental factors to predict and ensure the long-term reliability, durability, and safety of engineered systems throughout their operational life.
