Stress Tensor Analysis
Stress Tensor Analysis is a mathematical framework in solid mechanics that characterizes the state of stress at a point within the Earth's crust by decomposing the stress tensor into principal components and invariants to quantify directional stress magnitudes and orientations relevant to faulting, fracturing, and tectonic deformation.
