Stray Current Corrosion
Stray Current Corrosion is an electrochemical degradation process in which metal dissolution occurs due to the passage of external electrical currents through a conductive medium, distinguishing it from other corrosion types by its dependence on stray direct currents originating from sources such as cathodic protection systems, rail transit, or power installations.
