Stokes Boundary Layer
The Stokes Boundary Layer is a viscous fluid flow regime adjacent to a solid surface oscillating harmonically in its own plane, characterized by the diffusion of momentum due to viscous effects and distinguished from other boundary layers by its time-dependent, periodic nature and exponential decay of velocity with distance from the wall.
