Step-sibling Relationships
Step-Sibling Relationships is a familial relational construct denoting the social and emotional bond between individuals who are not biologically or legally related through a common parent but become linked through the marriage or cohabitation of one’s custodial parent with the other’s custodial parent, thereby forming a horizontally structured kinship tie within blended family systems.
