Steaming

Steaming is a thermal processing method that involves the application of saturated or superheated steam to achieve heat transfer for the purpose of cooking, sterilizing, or modifying the physical properties of materials, distinguished from other heat transfer methods by its reliance on vapor phase heat conduction rather than direct contact with liquid or radiant energy.
