Staudinger Ligation

Staudinger Ligation is a bioorthogonal chemoselective ligation reaction in which an organic azide reacts with a phosphine reagent bearing an electrophilic trap to form, via an iminophosphorane intermediate, a stable amide bond under aqueous, metal-free conditions without cross-reacting with native biological functionalities.
