Standoff Correction

Standoff Correction is a methodological adjustment applied in density logging during formation evaluation while drilling that accounts for measurement distortions caused by the spatial gap between the logging tool and the borehole wall, thereby enabling accurate determination of formation density despite variations in tool eccentricity or borehole irregularities.
