Stage-discharge Relations

Stage–Discharge Relations is a hydrological modeling construct that describes the functional relationship between the water surface elevation (stage) and the volume of water flowing per unit time (discharge) at a given cross-section of a river or floodplain, distinguished by its reliance on empirical or theoretical stage–discharge curves to characterize flow conveyance dynamics under varying hydraulic conditions.
