Spray Dispersion

Spray Dispersion is a physical process in spray combustion whereby fuel droplets are spatially distributed within a gaseous medium due to aerodynamic forces, droplet interactions, and turbulent flow effects, distinguishing it from other spray characteristics such as atomization or evaporation by focusing specifically on the temporal and spatial evolution of droplet positioning.
