Split-Window Algorithms is a class of empirical radiative transfer correction methods that estimate land surface temperature from thermal infrared observations by exploiting the differential atmospheric absorption between two adjacent spectral bands, typically in the 10–12 μm range, to account for atmospheric water vapor effects.
