Spinel Minerals
Spinel Minerals is a subgroup of oxide minerals characterized by a general chemical formula AB₂O₄ and a cubic close-packed oxygen lattice structure in which A²⁺ and B³⁺ cations occupy specific tetrahedral and octahedral sites, distinguishing it from other oxide mineral groups by its distinct crystallographic symmetry and cation ordering.
