Spin Seebeck Effect

The Spin Seebeck Effect is a thermospin phenomenon in which a temperature gradient applied across a magnetic material generates a spin current due to the spatial separation of spin-up and spin-down electrons, distinguishable from the conventional Seebeck effect by its exclusive generation of spin-polarized charge carriers rather than net charge flow.
