Spherical Array Processing

Spherical Array Processing is a method of three-dimensional acoustic signal processing that uses a spherical arrangement of hydrophones to capture and analyze spatially distributed underwater sound fields, distinguished by its ability to achieve full-sphere beamforming and directional sensing with uniform resolution across all azimuth and elevation angles.
