Speculative Objects

Speculative Objects is an academic construct that denotes a novel, hypothetical, or futures-oriented artifact—such as a method, model, framework, theory, dataset, task, or metric—posited within material speculation to provoke critical inquiry, challenge existing assumptions, or explore alternative socio-technical possibilities through its designed materiality and epistemic function.
