Spectroscopic Factor
The Spectroscopic Factor is a dimensionless quantity in nuclear physics that quantifies the probability amplitude of finding a single-particle or single-hole configuration in a many-body nuclear state, distinguishing it from other collective or correlated configurations by isolating the overlap between an observed quantum state and a theoretical single-particle wavefunction.
