Spalling Detection

Spalling Detection is a structural health monitoring method that identifies localized damage in concrete or masonry elements by detecting the sudden release of material fragments due to internal stresses, distinguishing it from other hazard identification techniques through its focus on surface erosion caused by corrosion, freeze-thaw cycles, or mechanical overload.
