Space-division Multiplexing
Space-Division Multiplexing is a fiber-optic communication technique that increases transmission capacity by propagating independent data streams through spatially separated channels within a single optical fiber, distinguished from other multiplexing methods by exploiting the physical dimension of space in multi-core or multi-mode fiber structures.
