Space Networks

Space networks is a research domain focused on the analysis and modeling of networks where spatial characteristics are fundamental to their structure, function, or dynamics. This field investigates how spatial attributes, such as location, distance, connectivity, and topology within a specific spatial domain (e.g., geographic, physical, abstract), influence network formation, resilience, efficiency, and processes occurring on the network. Significance is found in applications across diverse fields requiring the consideration of spatial constraints and opportunities, including satellite communication systems, transportation networks, urban planning, and ecological network analysis.
