Sol-gel Immobilization
Sol-Gel Immobilization is a method of enzyme immobilization that involves the encapsulation of enzymes within a porous inorganic or hybrid matrix formed via the sol-gel process, distinguishing itself from other immobilization techniques by its use of hydrolysis and polycondensation reactions of metal alkoxides to create a stable, nanostructured support under mild conditions.
