Snow Percolation

Snow Percolation is a physical process in snow hydrology wherein liquid water migrates vertically or laterally through the porous matrix of a snowpack, distinguished from other meltwater redistribution mechanisms by its dependence on the snowpack's microstructure, temperature gradient, and capillary forces governing flow dynamics.
