Snooping Coherence

Snooping Coherence is a cache coherence protocol in multiprocessor and multicore systems where the coherence maintenance mechanism belongs to the class of shared-bus-based monitoring techniques, distinguished by its use of broadcast-based eavesdropping in which each cache node actively monitors (or "snoops") the bus transactions to maintain consistency by tracking and responding to memory access requests from other processors.
